Iron Age Settlement
(Craggaunowen)

The images below were taken at Craggaunowen, a restoration and reconstruction of early dwelling forms in Ireland.  John Hunt, an expert in medieval art, initiated the project when he bought the land at Craggaunowen, County Clare. Mr Hunt began the restoration of the castle on the land, as well as the construction of the ring-fort.  He eventually gave the land over to the Irish people in the hope of further development.  It is now open to the public as an open-air museum.
